Survey and Removal of Structured Cabling for Global Construction and Engineering Services Company

CAS, owing to its in-depth knowledge of telecoms networks had been asked by ISG to in the process of refurbishment of two central London buildings, to survey the structured cabling with a view to its removal and to develop a strategy as to what should be retained.

The age of the buildings meant that successive generations of both copper and fibre optics cabling has been added to but not removed at the time of installing the next. The task was further complicated as in both cases there were incumbent tenants that required access to their networks at all times; the option of down-time was not possible.

CAS conducted the survey together with the removal of all redundant cabling and recommendations as to what should be retained or added to, over a number of weeks, always with extreme risk management and full communications with the tenants.

What They Said

“CAS has performed to and exceeded their delivery criteria in both a timely and professional manner. At all stages we were fully appraised as to their activites. We would recommend them to others.”
