David trained with British Telecom and gained invaluable experience in all aspects of public and private telecommunications systems and networks, with an emphasis on customer-focused solutions.
As a Business Systems Manager he was responsible for over 30 technical pre-sales and implementation staff. Working with a major US computer corporation, he was responsible for technical aspects, planning and implementation of its UK, European and US corporate networks and the management of staff.
David joined CAS as a consultant and, now as Managing Director, has undertaken many projects involving strategy, design, implementation and support of telecommunications systems and networks.As a good motivator he is able to deliver solutions in complex and stringent environments with the expertise and experience that has been gained through his overall business skills and technical knowledge. David is also involved with industry and end user associations where he is able to keep abreast of industry developments and user requirements.
Stephen has over thirty years’ experience in Telecoms & IT delivery and consulting, is a Director with CAS Ltd and President of the North American subsidiary, CAS Inc.
When working for the Stock Exchange through "Big Bang", Stephen was responsible for the management and provision of voice and data services, including line management responsibilities for 30 technical and administrative staff.
Joining CAS as a consultant in 1989, Stephen is a Director, and as President of CAS Inc, the US subsidiary, has been responsible for several strategic and business focused assignments in Europe and North America.
Stephen has significant experience of leading CAS consultant teams to identify and articulate the business and user needs of clients. Over the past 10 years Stephen has worked very closely with a Global Energy Trading and retail company. This has included the external transition of the Chemicals division, various strategic projects for retail business units and the design, planning and implementation of Trader Voice and Network Infrastructure covering 5 trading floors across North America with over 2,500 seats.
Merl joined CAS in December 2000 after a long career in the events and travel industries, where she worked on conferences, events and on road shows in some 30 cities throughout the world. Events such as Trafalgar Day the 200th commemoration of Nelson’s victory at the Battle of Trafalgar; attended by the Royal Family - Trafalgar Square, London; the Commonwealth Games - Manchester and the Annual ABTA (Association of British Travel Agents) Conventions in London, Palma, Acapulco, Budapest, Orlando and Birmingham.
Merl became Office Manager in July 2006 where she has used her extensive experience over 30 years in administration, marketing, events, production and design and operations. She manages CAS Ltd and offers remote support to CAS Inc in Houston, Texas.
Merl brings to the team strong organisational skills, creative flair, aptitude for dealing with people and most importantly, good humour!
Giles is a highly experienced, strategic business development professional with over 25 years’ experience within IT/Technology industry. He has held senior commercial roles at vendor, supplier and professional services companies, including over 10 years within the Independent IT Consultancy sector. Roles have evolved from pure commercial and business development functions to evolving global business relationships with strategic partners and clients.
Relationships built with real estate professionals ensured consistent revenue growth with the Built Environment Practice and led to Giles’ appointment to Practice Lead. The Practice achieved continued strong business growth throughout his tenure. A strong team player and effective communicator with a consultative approach, Giles maintains relationships at all levels of business.
A self-motivator, driven to succeed in business, he is still battling to achieve success with his golf handicap!
