CAS Project Support Plan

CAS operates on behalf of clients as their trusted advisor, ensuring that services are provided by suppliers to acceptable standards.

The CAS Support Plan covers all consultancy assignments from project initiation through to post completion assistance. The principles of the support and quality programme are:

  • An officer of CAS is appointed for the duration of the assignment as the 'mentor' and is responsible for all aspects.
  • The mentor acts as the auditor to the project ensuring:
    • observance of and adherence to the Terms of Reference
    • technical accuracy and feasibility
    • financial accuracy and feasibility, incorporating business planning and investment effectiveness
  • The mentor is authorised to require, and put in course, any corrective action or procedure necessary to meet the audit principles and the requirements of the CAS consultancy code of conduct.

The project team and the mentor meet on a monthly basis when progress, documentation and milestones are reviewed and a report incorporated in the overall project file.

The Support Plan for completed assignments will vary from project to project, however, CAS has a well proven process which ensures that any necessary support is provided to a high standard and formally documented.

CAS produces complete project processes and procedures manuals and ensures that support from all relevant parties is available to complement the customer's operation.

Company Overview

CAS Inc. is an independent IT & Telecommunications consultancy company, incorporated in 2000 as a wholly owned subsidiary of the UK parent company, CAS Ltd. Using the 20 years experience in consultancy gained in the UK, along with the international experience of its consultants, CAS has increased its worldwide presence from the UK and Thailand to include the US, covering the following market sectors.

  • Energy and Utilities

  • Health Care
  • Architecture and Construction

CAS' hallmark is the ability to concentrate on the details of an assignment, while keeping the clients overall strategy in view. Acquiring a firm understanding of business needs, developed through a close and long-term relationship with the client, is key to CAS' success. As an independent consultancy, CAS maintains strict vendor neutrality, offering expert and impartial advice at all times.

CAS' reputation stands on the excellence of service delivered to clients. To this end, all CAS consultants are experienced, highly qualified specialists, typically drawn from the management tiers of major corporations.

CAS adheres to both the TIA Code of Conduct and to it's own quality assurance programme. Developed in 1980, when the company was founded, the principles have been adopted by the UK Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and have been well received in the US marketplace.

CAS has memberships and affiliations with many other respected industry bodies, including The Business Continuity Institute, The Association of Project Management and The Texas Building & Procurement Commission.

Approach

CAS' continued success in a highly competitive market is due to its breadth of expertise and the systematic approach taken to ensure that clients receive a superior service. Whilst the approach is tailored to each individual client, it broadly follows the same framework:

  • At conception a Business Process Review is conducted to develop a clear understanding of the clients' needs and to maximize their Return on Investment (ROI).
  • An officer of CAS is appointed for the duration of the project to guarantee quality control. Acting as the Auditor to the project they oversee the observance of and adherence to Terms of Reference, the feasibility of proposed solutions and establish technical and financial accuracy.
  • For each assignment CAS consultants work to a pre-defined set of milestones. Regular meetings are held to check progress and address concerns.
  • The CAS charging policy means that the client pays only for the specific work carried out by consultants. Overheads, such as management and administrative fees are not added.
