CAS has developed and operates a number of Policy documents relating to health and safety, equal opportunities and more. CAS will be pleased to provide copies of any of the above Policies on request.

Quality - ISO 9001

CAS is accredited to ISO 9001:2008 where vigilant quality management is actively monitored and improved by the board of directors throughout the company. This enables optimised operations and efficiency costs, whilst productivety and services levels are continually enhanced against PRINCE2 project management methodologies.

Health & Safety Policy

We, Communications Advisory Service Limited are committed to the health and safety, welfare and wellbeing of all our staff, consultants and of those with whom we come into contact with in pursuing our business endeavours. As such the Board of Directors are vigorous champions in the seeking, continued attainment and furtherance of all H&S matters with regular review and updating metrics as a Board agenda item. Health & Safety is also a key element within the CAS quality processes.

Our objectives are therefore:

  • To provide adequate control of the health and safety risks arising from our work related activities;
  • To promote and provide a safe working environment for all our staff, associates and for all with whom we work;
  • To provide information, instruction, training and supervision for all staff and associates;
  • Ensure that all staff and associates are and have the competence to perform their tasks;
  • To prevent and minimise the risk of accidents and the causes of work-related ill health;
  • To share with and inculcate within our consultants' team the need for positive and committed involvement to this policy.

This policy will be subject to periodic review and annually.

Environmental Policy

We, Communications Advisory Service Limited realise that our activities have an impact upon the environment and as such wish and seek to minimise that impact. As a consequence we will strive to and endeavour that within our operations and control to reduce our use of natural resources - namely energy and fuel, paper and other materials.

Our objectives are therefore:

  • To minimise the use of fuel and other travelling overheads and saving time by arranging meetings in the most costs effective way and to use electronic methods for bring people together such as audio and video conferencing;
  • To use public transport where and whenever possible to minimise the use of cars and to car share as appropriate;
  • To purchase recycled products - paper and print items where feasible;
  • To recycle paper and all other practical items of office equipment where possible;
  • To share with and inculcate within our consultants' team the need for positive and committed involvement to this policy.

Furthermore we have a commitment to our clients to pursue a similar approach to working with them and will encourage where possible that environmental and sustainable processes, practices and techniques are used. We can and are able to demonstrate such techniques within our client working practices.

This policy will be subject to periodic review and annually.

Equal Opportunities Policy

We, Communications Advisory Service Limited are committed to the pursuance of Equal Opportunities in whatever form it takes and to see that the standards and values set are maintained and that we strive to uphold are conveyed to all our staff, consultants and of those with whom we come into contact with in pursuing our business endeavours. This policy will be subject to periodic review and annually and forms an integral part of the Quality System.

Data Protection Policy Statement

We, Communications Advisory Service fully subscribe to and concur with the eight principles for the protection of personal data as laid down in the Data Protection Act of 1998, namely that data is:

  • Processed fairly and lawfully
  • Obtained for specified and lawful purposes
  • Adequate, relevant and not excessive
  • Accurate and up to date
  • Not kept any longer than necessary
  • Processed in accordance with the “data subject’s” (the individual’s) rights
  • Securely kept
  • Not transferred to any other country without adequate protection in situ.

And in accordance with the descriptions on personal data as below, namely:

“Data which relate to a living individual who can be identified from those data; or from those data and other information which is in the possession of, or is likely to come into the possession of, the data controller and includes any expression of opinion about the individual and any indication of the intentions of the data controller or any other person in respect of the individual".
